There we go, a super simple DIY tap tempo footswitch which will help you make full use of your time-based guitar effects pedals.

I use it for my Providence Chrono Delay and it works perfectly. The only downside I found, was that the footswitch itself is made from plastic. It has a metal cap over it, but that comes right off. Not the most sturdy solution.
